Your blog posts are always such a good read.

I like that you said, "While EDM 310 opened my eyes to the benefits of using technology in the classroom, I'm starting to think there are some situations where I'd rather learn by hand-written assignments and read with text in hand."

It's always important to keep each child's personal learning style in mind.

Keep up the good work!

AllieAllie Howellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01378905943734354086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5317829830233037462.post-31207982217710733172011-10-02T22:02:16.239-05:002011-10-02T22:02:16.239-05:00Hi Lana!

Parents are scared of the internet, but it is mostly because they are ignorant to the good that can come of it too. With the dangers that come along with it, we are also going to have to teach internet safety. As long as it is used correctly, kids are going to figure out whats right and whats wrong. I'm a parent and I hope my kids are smart enough to know how to use it for educational purposes and stay away from the evil that is out there!Carrie Fairleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03807872391026174621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5317829830233037462.post-45904139508112304592011-10-01T21:23:09.502-05:002011-10-01T21:23:09.502-05:00Thank you, Dr Strange. We'll have to teach it to our students one day, so we need to learn how to apply it correctly.

Unfortunately, I did post this assignment a day late. Looks like I need review some time management strategies!Lana Brookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13914302645629386215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5317829830233037462.post-41109299881542380592011-09-30T07:43:17.423-05:002011-09-30T07:43:17.423-05:00But it was late. But it was late.John Hadley Strangehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17484977903995419205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5317829830233037462.post-58844084936945840332011-09-30T07:42:06.357-05:002011-09-30T07:42:06.357-05:00Well done. Many students just copied and pasted from his About Me without acknowledging the source of the information. That makes it clear to me that they do not understand what plagiarism is. We will have a discussion of plagiarism and an assignment later in the semester.

Well done!

Thanks!John Hadley Strangehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17484977903995419205noreply@blogger.com
